Bedford Diner is a family owned and operated restaurant in Temperance serving “good mood food” made from scratch and presented in large portions. Because bacon and eggs taste good any time of the day, they serve breakfast all day! But Bedford Diner also serves lunch all day, and dinner starting at 3 p.m. Stop by on Sunday or Monday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. for breakfast or lunch, or Tuesday through Saturday for any meal between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.! Head over to Lambertville for fresh and local cuisine from Sage Steak & Seafood. This approachable upscale restaurant serves scratch food at affordable prices for both lunch and dinner. Go to the Park
One of the best ways to take in the sights, smells and overall feel of a city is at a park. This is where you can people watch, stretch your legs, experience nature, and take a much-needed break in the middle of your day. Carr Park has a rich history and regularly attracts residents of Bedford Township in the present day. The 6-acre property was originally deeded to the Upton Carr family by President Andrew Jackson in the 1830s, and was sold to the Temperance Rotary Club thereafter to be used as a park. Carr Park hosts various playground equipment, grills, benches, picnic tables, a shelter area, a basketball court, two volleyball courts, two tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. Indian Creek Park is a 9-acre park including eight baseball diamonds and a soccer field. Take a stroll around the Indian Creek Park Walking Trail to get some fresh air and exercise in this beautiful and expansive park! White Park is the largest of the parks in the Bedford Township area, covering over 26 acres of land. This is a popular location for sporting events, as it features six baseball diamonds in addition to tennis courts, an exercise trail, playground equipment, two shelters, picnic tables and grills. Samaria Park is a nice 13-acre park in downtown Samaria including a woodland trail, picnic and playground areas, a small softball diamond, and a community building rented for various events, meetings, and parties.
